The workaround that worked for me was going to MSI's site for the wifi/bluetooth drivers here. Click on Drivers & Downloads>Driver tab>LAN drivers. Select your OS then download the wifi/bluetooth drivers. MAKE SURE YOU EXTRACT the zip file you download otherwise it won't detect your wifi/bluetooth.

I do however have I'm not sure how on earth it could be disconnected, as my motherboard (ASUS Strix B-550E) has an integrated Intel AX200NGW Wifi 6/Bluetooth 5.1 Module.
