I have discovered that when a code P2454 is stored, the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected a low voltage input signal from the circuit of the diesel particulate filter (DPF) pressure sensor that has been given the designation A. Only vehicles equipped with diesel engines should exhibit this code.
It located behind the engine on the drivers side, low down, just above the steering rack. See pic. To get to it, you need to take the under cover off (6 or 8 screws). then get right under the car and look up past the steering rack.
Depending on the vehicle, a certain DPS threshold may trigger a DPF regen cycle, but only if conditions are right. Some vehicles may trigger a DPF regen cycle around 15% capacity, for example. If conditions are insufficient for a DPF regen cycle, the DPF simply continues to collect PM emissions until they are.
The Ford garage swapped the injector tip on the 2nd and the 3rd cylinder. After that the issue presented with the 2nd injector. So probably the injector is causing the malfunction. I was also told, that there might be electrical issue (like wiring to the ABS sensor) but in my case all the electronic is just fine)
DPFE Sensor Location. Normally, the DPFE sensor is installed near the EGR valve. The EGR valve itself is located behind the intake manifold. A DPFE sensor is a rectangular metallic or plastic box with two vacuum hoses and wires coming out of it. The exact location of the DPFE sensor depends on the model of the vehicle.

I have been reading on some forums about the problems a DPF may cause but am unsure if my car has one, it is a 2.0 TDCI on an 05 plate and is Euro 4.
Ford Mondeo - DPF and oil warning 2.0 tdci - Jes : My 59 Plate Mondeo did the same, 700 miles AFTER the first 12,500 mile service. I took it to the main ford dealer for my area (essex ford) and they changed the oil and filter and applied an ECU update all free of charge.
Step 3: How to tell when a DPFE sensor is failing. When a DPFE sensor begins to fail, it provides the PCM with bad/inaccurate data. This is because it is less sensitive and the PCM thinks less recirculated gas is being burned than is actually so. When this happens, the PCM adjusts the flow of the gas as a means of compensation and winds up

Hi there thanks Ok we need to have the sensor values checked first The DPF sensor has 3 wires on it these checks should be done with multiplug connected 1 wire is a 5 volt reference Feed 1 is a ground and the other is a raw vintage signal out value to the PCM Check the 5 volt reference is ok using the ground of the sensor Next Take the reading from the signal out wire using the ground of the
